Church of Santa Rosalia

102 Corso C. di Bella, Montelepre

Location

The church of Santa Rosalia was built between 1814 and 1860 on the initiative of the confreres of the Compagnia del SS. Sacrament.

It presents itself with a simple and linear prospect. In the center, on the rose window, there is an artistic glass window in which the "Santuzza" is depicted with the main iconographic attributes that are proper to it: the crown of roses, the crucifix and the skull.

The church has a single nave, has 7 altars and 8 side chapels.

The central vault is enriched by 12 images that recall the most important episodes of the life of Santa Rosalia.

The statue of the saint is placed on the central altar.

On the sides there are works created between the nineteenth and twentieth century.
